Susan Green is a longtime writer, journalist and editor based in the Tampa Bay area. She has written thousands of articles on a wide variety of topics and dabbled in public relations, marketing, online editing for education, content marketing and management, and other types of written communications. She is an accomplished interviewer, researcher and fact-checker.
In Susan’s most recent staff position as managing editor for a large nonprofit organization, visits to the website skyrocketed after she took over primary content management duties for news. She wrote stories that drew audience engagement and won awards, and she helped other writers polish their articles to attract re-posting by national news services. Within two years of her joining the team, the online news publication was named “Best in Class” by a national communicators’ organization.
The one thing that all forms of storytelling have in common is the need to identify and target the audience. It’s good to have a clear message in mind, but storytelling in the 21st century is not a one-way street. Audience engagement is key if you want that message to be heard. Susan is happy to provide services ranging from basic editing to total rewrite to writing with a style tailored to your special audience.
Susan grew up in Florida but also is at home in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. She is the mother of three children.
